In FrameMaker 10, please check ON "Convert CMYK Colors to RGB" in PDF Setup dialog while generating PDF. This should solve the issue you are observing.

I updated my document templates and tried to create a PDF, but most of the body text was replaced by a swirly symbol I have never seen before... Some of the headings did print, but not in the correct font (Arial Narrow shows up as something like Times). We've checked fonts and various settings and preferences and cannot make it work!!
