I think a little more information would be helpful in trying to assist in solving your problem.
Are you just trying to add Frame files from different versions to a new book of another version? If that is the case, I would open each of the files in the target, hopefully the newest, version and get them converted first. Then, either create a new book file or add them to an existing book file. Run an update, to check for missing hyperlinks. I would then recommend trying to print the new book.
