That was the reason for the element/attribute we have that contains, in our case, the issue date of the EDD, that displays when the document is in draft or prelim stage. You can also add comments with the information, but even then if you export the structure to an EDD, the comments I believe don't make it. As an element/attribute, it is always there.

I don't think it would be very hard work for FM developers to add a routine into the source that would write in the name of the file the EDD is imported from, just as I can read the name of the "owner" of a certain distiller job option file in the MIF file. Bodvar 2011/8/31 David Spreadbury <dspre...@yahoo.com> In Frame 7.2 you select File > Structure Tools > Export Element Catalog as EDD. I believe in Frame 8 they moved this to a separate Structure menu off the main menu bar. In my EDD, I have an element that has an attribute with a text string that contains information on the EDD version. I apply a Preliminary condition and it appears in the left margin. All I need to do is turn on the Prelim condition. --- On Wed, 8/31/11, Böðvar Björgvinsson <bod...@gmail.com> wrote: From: Böðvar Björgvinsson <bod...@gmail.com> Subject: Is there a way of finding which EDD has been imported into a document? To: "FrameUsers List" <framers@lists.frameusers.com> Date: Wednesday, August 31, 2011, 3:21 PM When you have been developing an EDD for various versions of a set of files (book, volumes, etc.) you soon can end up with several EDD files in different states of developement and soon you loose control of which EDD file was imported into which document file. Is there a way, in FM10, to find this, a report, a log or something (I don't see a reference to it in the document mif file)? I don't think this was possible before, but has this been developed into the last versions of FM? It would make my life so much easier.
