I don't know about Acrobat X, but in v9, you can choose your "noise level" on the Compare pane. Click Show Options and choose whether you want to see changes to images, headers/footers, etc. Alternatively, what about the tool from which the PDFs are created? Both FM and Word, for instance, have pretty flexible doc compare capabilities. HTH! Richard G.
