At a place where I used to work, I assigned a junior writer the task of using Mif2Go to convert some of our smaller documents to DITA. She figured it out fairly quickly. For some reason I thought you were converting your source files to DITA, but in another post you said you're not. I think Mif2Go can convert FM to non-DITA XML, too.
