I have a large number of legacy FrameMaker documents to be converted to a template. In the legacy docs, character tags were almost never used. Instead, they used used Ctrl-I, Ctrl-b, and a variety of settings in the Character Designer (but never creating a new tag).
I was hoping I could use Find Character Overrides to locate these, but it finds everything! And by everything, I mean it selects everything in a paragraph up to the font change, the next Find selects the changed text, and the next Find selects everything remaining in the paragraph. Searching for character format overrides using Silicon Prairie's Character Tools behaves the same way. I can't believe this is how this was meant to work. Am I missing something? Is there a way to find untagged character overrides? (Other than searching for italic, then bold, then caps, then various spreads, then superscripts, etc.) Thanks for any help.
