Hi Carol, I do not know whether this changed with FrameMaker 12. However, FrameMaker 11 has its Linguistics folder not in AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Framemaker\12, but in AppData\LocalLow\Adobe
In the Linguistics folder there is the user dictionary which I definitely would back up.
