Folks: Sorry for the knee jerk request earlier about my PDF generation problem.
Seems all I had to do was designate the Adobe PDF driver as the default printer, and whammo, 190 pages generated in 35 seconds. And a darned, good looking PDF book it is, too, if I do say so myself.
