In your xref "code" you can add references to tags. For example, in a "blank" FM file you can:
1. select Special > Cross Ref 2. Click "Edit Format" 3. If required, select Heading & Page under Formats Now review the Definition: \`<$paratext>\' on page\ <$pagenum> You can change it to this: \`<Emphasis><$paratext><Default ? Font>\' on page\ <$pagenum> Now the "paratext" will be in the Emphasis format. Build on that idea and you should be good to go. I've created a cross-reference to a specific heading paragraph format, but part of each of these headings has a character format applied. Of course, the character format doesn't carry over to the cross-reference. Is there a step I haven't taken that will remedy this situation? --Doug _______________________________________________ You are currently subscribed to Framers as bernard at publishingsmarter.com.
