        We have several customers where removing supernumerary fonts from their 
systems actually solved the text drop out problem. Perhaps this font removal 
forced the system to refresh FNTCACHE.dat -- which seem quite likely given the 
number of fonts we removed, 500+ (that said, I urge all Framemaker users to 
remember that fonts to remove must be selected in meticulous detail to avoid 
deleting vital system fonts.)
