Tecplot, Inc.'s current opening is for a personable and talented
Technical Writer. This position is responsible for researching
technical information, planning and developing content and organization
of manuals, writing and editing original documentation, and inserting
graphic layouts necessary for end-user software documentation. Must
enjoy performing a wide range of tasks and working in a close-knit team
environment where taking initiative is encouraged.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain SDK documentation
Incorporate documentation of new features
Create and maintain documentation build scripts (using
FrameScript)
Prepare documents for electronic, on-demand and hardcopy
publication
Become proficient in Tecplot, scientific and engineering
visualization software
Provide feedback on usability issues
Create new content by actively using product
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (engineering, math, science)
2-3 years experience writing SDK/API based documentation
1-2 years C++ or other object -oriented programming
Proficient in Doxygen and HTML
Advanced Framemaker skills
Genuine interest in communicating scientific information
Team player
Non-smoker
Ability to edit and modify batch scripts
