Steve, I'm new to FM and inherited the set of files. I'm not sure why some of the chapters are broken up into smaller pieces, but if I can't figure out a good reason for it, I'll probably combine the chunks into full chapters for the sake of consistency. That should take care of my problem. In the mean time I can try some of the suggestions offered from this list.

Alternatively, you might have to go with different variables but I probably wouldn't go that route. (IOW, in Chapter 1, file 2, have a variable that gets the value of ChapterTitleInvisible that is in the file but doesn't display because it's in white text or is tagged with conditional text.)
