Unlike Word, you can't tell Frame that a row is (or is not) a heading row. If you want a heading row, you have to add one. If you don't want a heading row, you have to delete it. Also, when a table is imported from Word, it may have custom ruling which you may not want. Select the entire table, then select Table>Custom Ruling and Shading>From Table (to all sides of cell)>Apply.
