I usually use the Search sidebar (Ctrl+Shift+F) because I typically have to find many occurrences of the same term. I click on each item in the Results list, Acrobat goes to the page, but doesn't highlight it. I've just taken to clicking it twice: once for Acrobat to go to the page, and another time for it to highlight it.
