Hi Alison, Right Hemisphere had a plug-in for FM that allowed for the importation of 3D objects that could then be manipulated in PDF. The client was called Deep View and you could take CAD files and drop them into the FM file.
This explains the process: http://righthemisphere.com/support/kb/index.php?action=article&id=1332&relid=5 I don't know if the plug-in is still being supported in FM and you might also need additional support in Acrobat. Probably you would need at least version 9 of Acrobat too. Here is info about PDF publishing with Deep Exploration: http://www.righthemisphere.com/support/help/pmi/pdfp_release_notes.html HIH Alan On 17/02/2011, at 8:30 AM, Alison Craig wrote: > I didn't actually get an error, just static images. > > Alison > From: Steve Johnson [mailto:chinaski69 at gmail.com] > Sent: February 16, 2011 11:20 AM > To: Alison Craig > Cc: framers at lists.frameusers.com > Subject: Re: FM9 and 3D images in PDFs > > What error did you get during the distill? > > > > On Wed, Feb 16, 2011 at 1:11 PM, Alison Craig <Alison.Craig at ultrasonix.com > > wrote: > FM 9 Version: 9.0p255 > Unstructured > OS: Windows 7, 64 bit (brand new machine) > FM Experience: 22 months > > > Mechanical, Manufacturing, Service and Tech Comm personnel are > talking to a supplier about a new piece of software called 3DVia > Composer.
