Hi Andy, I'm writing just to say thanks for bringing up this discussion. Like you, I taught myself FM and I would also like to "clean" up my styles and have a basic template. Thanks Joy and Roger for your input. This really helps.

I've discovered that as soon as I apply a revision indicator it counts as an override so I can't take revision indicators out. I'm also wondering if I shouldn't worry about overrides at all and just import the styles into all the chapters (assuming I can identify them all) and accept the overrides when I do.
