Wouldn't it be great if they would post an update to that buggy script as a example of how to debug an Extendscript.

The good news is that Rick Quatro has designed an ExtendScript that will do the archive operation correctly in FrameMaker 10. I believe you can purchase the script for approximately 80 dollars.
