Hello Framers, Adobe asked me to present a series of 7 webinars about various advanced techniques in FrameMaker. The series title is "Jang's F,M. Circus" and the unofficial subtitle is "Making FM jump through hoops". The first event was today, so I apologize for making this anouncement a little late. But there is always the recording you can check out.
1. April 27: Magic Master Pages in FrameMaker 2015 <https://2016-04-27-fm.meetus.adobeevents.com/> Making "this page left blank" appear automagically, creating custom numbering schemes, creating multi-flow designs, and more tricks to do with your basic page layout. 2. May 13: Plug-in Hybrid Documents - MySQL and FrameMaker <https://2016-05-13-mysql-fm.meetus.adobeevents.com/> Working with databases via ODBC is terribly slow, so why not replace your data source with a lightweight MySQL solution? 3. June 2: Creating unbreakable links in FrameMaker <https://2016-06-02-fm-xref.meetus.adobeevents.com/> Creating cross-references is not always easy and keeping them under control is even harder. With a database and intelligent coding, links can become easier and virtually unbreakable. 4. June 23: What You See Is What You Need <https://2016-06-23-wysiwyn.meetus.adobeevents.com/> [XML] The author organizes information differently than a user. Both can have a winning organization, as FrameMaker can translate automagically between one structure and another. 5. June 30: Handling SVGs inside FrameMaker <https://2016-06-30-fm-svg.meetus.adobeevents.com/> SVGs are XML and XML files can be accessed in scripts. This enables handling of layers, callout and other simple graphics in FrameMaker, without requiring external software. 6. July 13: Get a Grip - DITA Constraints made easy <https://2016-07-13-dita.meetus.adobeevents.com/> [XML] DITA is growing but nobody should be using all of DITA at any time. In FM 2015, it has become very easy to customize and constrain the set of available DITA elements. 7. July 20: Attribute-based condition management <https://2016-07-20-xml.meetus.adobeevents.com/> [XML] Combining XML attributes with the strong conditional text support of FrameMaker, your conditional content can benefit from the best of both worlds. If you have any further questions, let me know. _______________________________________________ This message is from the Framers mailing list Send messages to framers@lists.frameusers.com Visit the list's homepage at http://www.frameusers.com Archives located at http://www.mail-archive.com/framers%40lists.frameusers.com/ Subscribe and unsubscribe at http://lists.frameusers.com/listinfo.cgi/framers-frameusers.com Send administrative questions to listad...@frameusers.com
