I use Klaus Daube's enhanced Toolbar (http://www.daube.ch/docu/fmaker71.html), which makes it easy to copy a paragraph or character style in Frame and paste it using Frame's powerful Find/Replace commands. Sounds like this works much the same as the Word commands.

It's much much faster. If there is one feature I miss from Word, it's the incredibly powerful Find/Replace.

There is a script in Frame you can buy to replace styles, but in Word you can also find specific character formats and replace by tagging a Style.

Shmuel, since I've never worked in Word (I am allergic to it), I'm curious as to whether your method of applying styles in Word after a find/replace is easier or more efficient than retagging every paragraph in Frame?

If everything is tagged as Normal, you can do a find/replace in Word to find specific character formats, such as a specific font size, a certain font, or bold, and replace with a specific style. Word's Find/Replace is very good. To do this, leave the Find box blank.

If your Word docs are formatted to use 100% Normal style, then, your only choice is to manually tag every paragraph in Frame. I find it easiest to copy/paste from the Word doc rather than opening the Word doc in Frame. That prevents all of Word's garbage from coming along for the ride.
