Hi John,

I remember vaguely that sometimes the PDF printer was not
installed correctly. Users just had to install a trial version of the
current Acrobat version and then this feature worked.
It was not needed to upgrade Acrobat entirely.

FrameMaker 2019 does not care which printer is the default printer
or which printer is selected for Save As PDF or Publish to PDF.
(I always have set our local printer, and use Distiller to create the PDF,
and it still works. And Amitoj Singh had confirmed this.)

Please correct me, when I am wrong. You just installed FrameMaker,
and you might remember this. I think that there isn't any option
to install or not install any headless Distiller with FrameMaker 2019.
FrameMaker uses its own PDF engine.

What did you set in the Publish pod to create your PDF? With Distiller or
without?

Best regards

Winfried

I just got offline with Adobe Tech Support. It seems I need to upgrade to
Acrobat Pro DC. I'm going to bring down a trial to verify that the issue
gets resolved.
