Sometimes you go looking for one thing and come across something else. Carl Bogner has never been terribly active on Frameworks but from what I know he's a much-admired, long-time leader in Milwaukee's experimental film, queer, and other communities. When I was setting up the A Roll for Peter tour in 2017 he (& Timoleon Wilkins) saw to it that the screening at the Union Theater was well-attended and came off without a hitch. A pleasure to coordinate with him.
I just learned that he was diagnosed with advanced brain cancer earlier this year. Sounds awful.
