RICHMOND RADICALS: NEW REGIONAL CINEMA

CALL FOR ENTRIES for a 90 minute program of shorts to screen in Richmond,
VA in conjunction with the Association of Moving Image Archivists annual
symposium, November 6-9, 2013. We are looking to build a diverse program
that includes a broad range of styles and modes of filmmaking with a
special emphasis on new genres, the innovative use of found and archival
footage, and independent works that push the boundaries of moving image
media. Please send SHORT works made in or near Richmond, VA or that have a
Richmond connection. Deadline 10/18/13.

The program will be curated by Sasha Waters Freyer, filmmaker and Chair of
the Department of Photography & Film at VCU, James T. Parrish Jr.,
filmmaker, educator and founder of Richmond Flicker and co-founder of the
James River Film Society, and Stephen Parr, filmmaker, archivist and
founder of San Francisco’s Oddball Films and the San Francisco Media
Archive.
