  Hello kind folks,

I am looking for a film as a part of an independent research paper, that is
in the gene of the silent partner -
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078269/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Basically, drama/thriller films where the central character is an everyday
joe with a plot that has plenty of twists akin to a tv midnight flick but is
just about arthouse enough to escape being branded as trashy. Titles of films
based on books or remakes of other films are most welcome.

  Many thanks!
