just received the following, worthwhile for those working on / planning projects on 7363 hi con 16mm (see below)
MATT WHITMAN http://www.mawhitman.com/ <http://www.mawhitman.com/> 33 34th St, 2nd Fl, Studio 22 Brooklyn, NY 11232 Hello, film lovers and users: Our friends over at the artist-run lab forum are putting together a special co-op order of Kodak 7363 Hi Con Double Perf 16mm blue-sensitive black and white high contrast film. I'm forwarding you the below message from Richard. Please consider placing your order with him or passing this information on to those who might be interested in doing so. Orders need to be communicated to Richard by next week. Thanks! Elena Rossi-Snook Chair, AMIA Film Advocacy Task Force Kodak 7363 Hi Con Double Perf 16mm blue-sensitive black and white high contrast film. Comes in rolls of 400' length. Each roll is estimated to cost $130US plus delivery. 5 such rolls can go in one box. We need to find buyers for 76 such boxes. Kodak requires ONE payment only and ONE delivery address (they will not ship to separate addresses). The one delivery address will be in the United States. We will organize a distribution point in the United States. Another will be organised in Europe with delivery from the US address. This will make the European rolls more expensive than the US rolls. Can't be helped. Payment will need to be made in advance to a single US bank account (to be advised). This payment will need to cover the cost of the film AND the cost of any transaction fees. After the film has been purchased, another payment will be required for postage (or some such arrangement). Paypal would be easier, but more expensive. With paypal we would need to add 4.5% to the transactions. Either we make this happen or we don't get any more hi con (except sound neg of course). Think of this purchase as representing all your possible hi-con needs for the next decade.
