Dear Fred, Have you seen "The Unseen" by Miroslav Janek?
It has nothing to do with Brakhage. But it is about the untutored eye
completely, blind children making films and not just. It is a rare kind of
film. All my best, Vassily

Subject: [Frameworks] vision of a blind man

dear all
on the longest day of the year 1969 the swiss filmmaker fredi murer
shots his "vision of a blind man". the film is made with his eyes
blindfolded. while shooting murer was relying fully on his ears and on
two friends who'd drive him around in a blindfolded. he let himself be
guided by what he hears and directs the camera accordingly.
the experiment in some way, I guess, owes to stan brakhages thoughts on
the untutored eye. are there any other references, you'd consider? any
related films from the top of your heads?
cheers- fred
