The 21st Edition of VIDEOEX – International Experimental Film & Video will start next Saturday, on May 25th. This year the Festival honors the Brazilian avant-garde/experimental cinema. There will be eleven Brazilian programs along the nine days of VIDEOEX. Two Brazilian curators collaborated with the Festival this year: Gabriel Bogossian (Videobrasil, SP) and Lucas Murari (Risco Cinema, DOBRA – Festival Internacional de Cinema Experimental, RJ).

There will also be a film competition and performances of expanded cinema. The Festival will be held in Festivalkino Cinema Z3, Zurich, Switzerland, from May 25h to June 2nd. Videoex is Switzerland's largest festival dedicated to experimental film and video. Over the course of nine days, Videoex shows films and videos beyond conventional narrative cinema: experimental, visually surprising, conceptually unexpected or controversially political films and videos on the threshold between visual art and film.
