Vanilla-Cranberry Scones

Makes:
1 doz. or 12 servings, one scone each

1 cup POST HONEY BUNCHES OF OATS with Vanilla Clusters Cereal 
2/3 cup  buttermilk 
1 cup flour 
2 Tbsp.  brown sugar 
2 tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder 
1/2 tsp.  baking soda 
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) cold butter, cut up 
1/2 cup  dried cranberries 
1/2 tsp. granulated sugar 

PREHEAT oven to 425ºF. Combine cereal and buttermilk; let stand 5 min. 
Meanwhile, mix flour, brown sugar, baking powder and baking soda in large bowl. 
Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse 
crumbs. Stir in cereal mixture and cranberries just until mixture forms soft 
dough. 
PLACE dough on lightly floured surface; knead until smooth. Roll out to 
12x4-inch rectangle. Cut into three 4-inch squares, then cut each square into 
four triangles. Place in single layer on baking sheet. Sprinkle with granulated 
sugar. 
BAKE 12 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm.

Substitute raisins or chopped dried apricots for the dried cranberries.
