1 pound muchrooms, diced
1/4 cup onion, diced
2 tablspoons margarine, butter or olive oil
1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1 can French cut green beans
salt and pepper, to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Saute mushrooms and onion in margarine,
butter or olive oil until tender.  Stir in cheese until melted.  Stir in soy
sauce and water chestnuts; simmer 1 to 2 minutes.  Place drained green beans in
a casserole dish; pour mushroom mixture over green beans.  Season with salt
and pepper.  Cover and bake 20 minutes
