Bug ID: 203422 Summary: mpd/ppoe not working with re(4) with revision 285177 Product: Base System Version: 10.2-STABLE Hardware: i386 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: l...@gta.com I have run into an issue with re(4), ng_pppoe(4), and mpd. It involves the last modification made to re(4) driver. Mpd/pppoe does not work if I use re(4) driver with FreeBSD 10.2 stable (r288191). If I revert revision 285177 (last re driver modification) then everything works fine. NIC having issue is: re0: <RealTek 8169SC/8110SC Single-chip Gigabit Ethernet> port 0xd000-0xd0ff mem 0xf6024000-0xf60240ff irq 16 at device 8.0 on pci0 re0: Chip rev. 0x18000000 re0: MAC rev. 0x00000000 miibus0: <MII bus> on re0 rgephy0: <RTL8169S/8110S/8211 1000BASE-T media interface> PHY 1 on miibus0 rgephy0: none, 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 10baseT-FDX-flow, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, 100baseTX-FDX-flow, 1000baseT, 1000baseT-master, 1000baseT-FDX, 1000baseT-FDX-master, 1000baseT-FDX-flow, 1000baseT-FDX-flow-master, auto, auto-flow re0: Using defaults for TSO: 65518/35/2048 re0: Ethernet address: 00:90:fb:46:e2:fa pciconf -l re0@pci0:0:8:0: lass=0x020000 card=0x012310ec chip=0x816710ec rev=0x10 hdr=0x00 Conversely I have a different NIC using re(4) driver that works with or without revision 285177.
