--- Comment #49 from Sean McBride <s...@rogue-research.com> --- Toomas, I tried your oi.iso. I burnt it to DVD and booted the MacMini4,1 at my office. I _didn't_ hack it to remove the EFI part. This Mac has 64 bit EFI. When holding option key at boot (that's how to get the boot disk choice on Mac), I see two choices from that DVD: - "Windows" (which, I believe, it what it calls any old BIOS option) - "EFI boot" I tried both. I no longer see any LUA error messages! And it gets farther too, with a 'Welcome to illumos' message, and multi user / single user choice. But it still ends up failing, the output is: Loading unix... can't find 'unix' Loading i86pc/kernel/amd64... can't find 'i86pc/kernel/amd64' Loading unix... can't find 'unix' Loading i86pc/kernel/amd64... can't find 'i86pc/kernel/amd64' Loading i86pc/kernel/amd64... can't find 'i86pc/kernel/amd64' Loading /boot/defaults/loader.conf Loading unix... can't find 'unix' Loading i86pc/kernel/amd64... can't find 'i86pc/kernel/amd64' Loading unix... can't find 'unix' Loading i86pc/kernel/amd64... can't find 'i86pc/kernel/amd64' Loading i86pc/kernel/amd64... can't find 'i86pc/kernel/amd64' Unable to load a kernel! So I guess you definitely fixed something! But I still can't install FreeBSD. :( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ freebsd-bugs@freebsd.org mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-bugs To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-bugs-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
