Dmesg and pciconf

I trying to use an Intel D5 P5316 30TB (SSDPF2NV307TZ) NVME SSD drive on an
ASUS RS500A-E10-RS12U (mainboard ASUS KRPA-U16) with a AMD EPYC ROME CPU, bios
is configured to use X2 APIC. The drive is detected. After copying data to or
from the drive the system reboots, there is no kernel panic or whatsorever.
There are other NVME drives on the system that work without problems
(Micron_9300_MTFDHAL7T6TDP 7.8TB, Micron_9300_MTFDHAL15T3TDP 15TB, Kingston
SKC2000M82000G 2TB).

Tested with FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT main-n253780-734782a7814e and with 13-STABLE.

The mainboard manual actually says that the NVME links are Gen3x4, the drive
reports Gen4x4. Would a downgrade to Gen3x4 help? Is it possible to enforce
that?
