With alpha snapshots to arrive shortly at these same locations (just
s/i386/alpha/ on the above paths).

This release brings in a number of significant changes which did not
get into the 20000208 snapshot and also seeks to temporarily address
the XFree86 issues by:

    a) Using the 3.x XF86336 distribution, which should work fine with
4.0 if you also install the compat3x distribution

    b) Providing a 4.0 "package" version of XFree86 3.3.6 which can
also (optionally) be installed instead from the packages menu.

The next release candidate will hopefully have a more official XFree86
3.3.6 for 4.0 build on it and the package version will go away in the
i386 release version. The XFree86 package will still be used
exclusively on the Alpha architecture since we don't have anything
approximating a "full XFree86 distribution" available there yet and
sysinstall knows about this special case for the Alpha.

Thanks,

- Jordan
