The src tree supports incremental builds. You'll need to load the filemon module and add WITH_META_MODE=yes in /etc/src-env.conf to use it. See the WITH_META_MODE bits in src.conf(5), build(7) for some more details. It would be nice to have WITH_META_MODE as default but that's a separate discussion.
