Well, I know this isn't quite what you were asking, but I wanted to let the 
group know that the world and kernel seem quite stable using the athlon-tbird 
optimizations.  Not to mention smokingly fast.

Incidentally, I know this is a scary, scary thing, but how do I turn off the 
various debugging options that are on in GENERIC?  I'd like to compile a 
hotrod kernel/world for testing...is it just a matter of commenting out 
DEBUG=-g?
