I've got the 60GB model x 2.  Since 4.6 the system won't even boot
with tagging enabled >:-(

Do you have hw.ata.tags="1" in /boot/loader.conf?  It is "0" by
default (check with "sysctl hw.ata.tags"). See ata(4).
