You need freebsd-5.x for that to work, the promise pdc203xx chips are not supported by the ATA driver in -stable (and probably wont be)...


But the PDC 20378 (actually) is not running in SATA mode, but standard ATA 133. Is there no way then I can use it in 'compatibility' mode, or something? Sigh.

The mode doesn't matter the core of the chip logic does.
