AMD announced today the new quad core. Their benchmarks are promising.
But not the dual core versions.

they are delivering already. Those German guys have had real silicon to
test with. I have no idea how long it will take to get one if your name
is not Sun or Cray.
I think it is very simple for you. If they are not available the moment
you want to buy, you will buy Intel.
