That will certainly be interesting to test!
I made some tests with quad core CPU:

not sure if they are correct because the system livelocked during
pmcstat run, so I did cold reboot.
if_em is compiled as module here, so grpof from if_em is at the end of
the file.
Quite surprising quad core is slower in this benchmark, and I'm still
trying to find what is different if we do not count the cpus :)
