This looks quite cool, especially the fact that it'd be tied into pkg_add and pkg_delete. By "makefiles" are you referring to the ports/Mk stuff, or are you referring to actual Makefiles for src/usr.sbin/pkg_install (which is ultimately where pkg_trans should go)?
