Just an FYI. I'm experiencing the same issue. I'm running FreeBSD 7.1, an Nvidia 8400 GS, and fluxbox.
At first I suspected the video driver. I've tried nv and nvidia, neither made a difference. There was an error in the xorg logs for fbdev which I did not have installed at the time. Compiling it did not solve the issue either. This is known, it is related to the switch to pciaccess, and AFAIK the issue is currently the same with linux. I don't know the specific reason that secondary boards don't work at the moment. I hopefully will have most of the stuff that I need to try and at least test this soon. Meanwhile, I'll poke around and see if anyone is looking into it. robert. > Below follow some files that might provide some information. > Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. > > Regards, > > - /var/log/Xorg.0.log > http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/xorg/2009022100/Xorg.0.log > > - /var/run/dmesg.boot > http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/xorg/2009022100/dmesg.boot > > $ pciconf -lv > http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/xorg/2009022100/pciconf.txt > > $ startx -listen_tcp -- -layout tv > http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/xorg/2009022100/startx.log > > $ sysctl -a > http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/xorg/2009022100/sysctl.txt > > $ uname -a > http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/xorg/2009022100/uname.txt > > - /etc/X11/xorg.conf > http://people.freebsd.org/~lioux/xorg/2009022100/xorg.conf > -- Robert Noland <rnol...@freebsd.org> FreeBSD _______________________________________________ freebsd-ports@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-ports-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
