Maybe gnomehier was not yet installed? It's a young installation, replacing FreeBSD 9.2-STABLE on Western Digital Green 3 TB hard drive that developed bad sectors, with FreeBSD-current amd64 on new Seagate hard drive. So I installed gnomehier, then devel/gobject-introspection, then x11-wm/icewm and remaining dependencies, successfully. Thanks for the tip!
