Hi, I have recently changed MTA on some hosts to mail/ssmtp, following instruction from handbook:
[https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/mail-changingmta.html] Handbook instructs to put the following lines in mailer.conf: sendmail /usr/local/sbin/ssmtp send-mail /usr/local/sbin/ssmtp mailq /usr/libexec/sendmail/sendmail newaliases /usr/libexec/sendmail/sendmail hoststat /usr/libexec/sendmail/sendmail purgestat /usr/libexec/sendmail/sendmail However, pkg-message of mail/ssmtp gives different instruction: ssmtp-2.64_1: Always: sSMTP has been installed successfully. To replace sendmail with ssmtp type "make replace" or change your /etc/mail/mailer.conf to: sendmail /usr/local/sbin/ssmtp send-mail /usr/local/sbin/ssmtp mailq /usr/local/sbin/ssmtp newaliases /usr/local/sbin/ssmtp hoststat /usr/bin/true purgestat /usr/bin/true Are they both correct, or one of them needs to be updated?
