version of this port is already installed and the CONFLICTS lines of
the other versions have to be adjusted to include this new port.
It builds and works for me on amd64/CURRENT, but I have not been able
to test it on other releases or architectures.
Since there is a maintainer, I'm not going to commit this version,

Hello.
Samba 4.13 is out: this obsoletes 4.10 which I'm using widely.
Before I start upgrading all my installations to 4.11 (which has been in
port tree for a while), I'd welcome a bit of info about the future.
Skipping directly to 4.12 would be a lot better for me, since it would
mean not upgrading again in a few month. In fact moving in steps of two
versions is what I've always done (or at least tried to do).
Given the amount of trouble, patching, bug squashing that older version
required, I'm skeptical this 4.12 port would work out of the box.
Timur: did you have a chance to look into 4.12? Did you notice some
specific trouble? Do you have a plan to release an official port? Any
idea when?
Thanks for all your work in any case.
bye
av.
