For what it's worth, all/any py3x-* ports in the tree should be py3-* and inherit the DEFAULT_VERSION of python. py3-* ports are temporary workarounds, and we can't have (and support) arbitrarily N versions of the same port each pointing to a different explicit major.minor versions of Python.
