--- Comment #9 from Dan MacDonald <[email protected]> --- I'm happy to create a new bug report for my problem if its unrelated to this one but I too was getting the misnamed pyc files when I tried building pyqt5 against python 3.6.1, but then I saw gdinolt has apparently got pyqt5 built against python 3.4 without any extra patches so I wanted to try that first, hence my previous replies.
