The problem he is having is that the "via" xorg driver won't work for the onboard VIA S3 UniChrome (KM400, CLE266, etc. chipsets). It's (the via driver) the correct driver, so it should work. Also it doesn't work in FreeSIBE 1.1 (FreeBSD 5.2ish?).
