You forgot to mention what version of FreeBSD you're running. Also, you don't control the scheduler from rc.conf, it's compiled into your kernel. Anyway, SCHED_ULE is better on 6.0 than on previous releases, but it's still not officially supported, and there are some known problems with it. Kris
