Benjamin, This is the vmware tools installation guide on official website. According to this guide, I installed vmware-tools in vm5.5 with a guest os freebsd 6.0, encounter no problems. Hope this helps. http://www.vmware.com/support/ws4/doc/new_guest_tools_ws.html#1008244 Regards, David
