To take advantage of the new file system ufs2 which became part of FreeBSD in 5.0 you need to install from scratch. You are so far behind that its far better to start over again after saving your user data.

Is there a procedure for upgrading 4.x to 6.x? Simply doing `buildworld' does not work -- even make can not be rebuilt without the stdint.h, for example. Thanks for advice.
