Perfect, it's shutting down cleanly then. yeah, it's fine to hit the atx button to halt it then... but don't hold it down, or it'll die uncleanly.

If your server supports ACPI and it's shutting down
clean, it's OK.
But if your power-button switches your system off
immediatly, use
shutdown -p now.
